welcome to noracollins.com

Hi, I'm Nora Collins. Thanks for visiting my web site!
I started writing songs during the summer of 2008 when I was 14, really as a way to teach myself to play guitar. Now, singing and songwriting is pretty much all I do (except for school)! Music is my life and my love, and I hope you enjoy my work...

Thank you so much to everyone who came out and saw me at Summerfest! It was such an amazing experience and I’m so lucky and grateful to everyone who came! What a thrill to have performed on the same stage as the country great Loretta Lynn!

I’m really looking forward to performing again at Summerfest July 5th on the Potawatomi Stage with the WAMI Youth Showcase starting at noon!

Check out the Journal Sentinel for a fabulous review of my new cd! Here’s the link: Journal Sentinel review of Run Away With Me

I’m excited to perform the National Anthem and entertain during the ice cream social after Brookfield’s 4th of July Parade at the Civic Plaza. Hope to see you there!

Hi Everybody,

I’ve been selected as one of two finalists in the CBS 58 “Just 10 Minutes” Summerfest Contest.  I really need your help to achieve my dream and win a chance to play at Summerfest.  The good news is that this contest doesn’t take much time!

Today through Sunday June 12, my video will be posted at CBS 58 website.  You can vote for me to win an opening day stage slot at Summerfest.  Here is the direct link to view the videos and vote:  http://www.cbs58.com/pages/just10contest/vote.phpPlease vote once each day from any individual valid e-mail address. If you vote more than one time per day your vote will be disqualified.  You don’t have to live in Wisconsin to vote.

So please forward this to your family, friends, classmates and co-workers and ask them to vote.  Thank you for all the help you’ve given me and I appreciate your continued support!

Thanks again for your help!

Nora

Hey everybody! I just got back from Music City USA (Nashville)! My wonderful friend Lisa showed me around and introduced me to some amazing people! I participated in a few songwriters rounds and my first co-write which was a lot of fun! Also I had the privilege to have a one-on-one session about
stage presence
with Linda Davis! She is a fantastic teacher! I really learned a lot! Bill Whyte, originally from Wisconsin and formerly worked at FM106, met with me as well! He is such a nice guy and a hilarious song writer. While in Nashville, I had the opportunity to record two of my songs in different studios. Run Away With Me was recorded with Steve Rutledge http://www.myspace.com/steverutledgemusic at his studio Steel String Studio. Thanks Steve :) I recorded Dimples Filled With Lies with Lee Turner http://www.boogiemanstudio.com/ at his studio Boogie Man Studio. Thank you Lee :) Also, I would love to thank all of the talented musicians who played on my songs: Steve Rutledge, Lee Turner (with Darius Rucker), Brian Nutter (with Keith Urban), Matt Billingslea (with Lady Antebellum), Pat Seavers, and Glenn Snow (with Martina McBride). Thank you all so very much! You took my songs to the next level! There's only one first trip to Nashville and mine is a sweet memory.
